The politics of climate change represent a dynamic and complex intersection of environmental, economic, and social challenges that require global cooperation. This paper explores the evolving role of emerging economies in international climate change negotiations, focusing on their responsibilities and contributions in global efforts to mitigate and adapt to climate impacts. While emerging economies face significant challenges in balancing rapid economic growth with environmental sustainability, they also play an essential role in shaping international climate policy. Through an analysis of frameworks like the Paris Agreement and the principle of common but differentiated responsibilities, this paper highlights the tensions, opportunities, and strategies for fostering inclusive international cooperation. The findings underscore the importance of addressing climate change through equitable global action, where emerging economies are supported in their transition to low-carbon, climate-resilient economies.
